Swedish Ginger Snaps- Pepparkakor


2/3 cup brown sugar, packed

2/3 cup molasses

1 tsp. ginger

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/2 tsp. cloves

3/4 Tablespoon Baking soda

2/3 cup butter

1 egg

5 cups flour

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Heat sugar, molasses and spices to boiling point. Add baking soda and pour mixture over butter in bowl. Stir until butter melts. Add egg and sifted flour and blend thoroughly in stand mixer. Wrap and shill. Roll out and cut into various shapes. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 7-10 minutes or until done.
