Fettuccine with Snow Peas and Walnuts

1 lb. fresh fettuccine

4 slices of bacon, sliced

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted

1 oz. butter

1 large onion, chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

3/4 cup white wine

1 cup heavy cream

9 oz. snow peas, cut on the diagonal

Bring large pot a water to boil. Add salt to boiling water and cook pasta to al dente.

In a large pot cook  the bacon and onions together until onion is soft and bacon slightly browned. Add garlic and cook for about a minute. Pour in wine and cream and reduce slightly, stir in snow peas and toasted walnuts. Salt and pepper, to taste. Add drained pasta to sauce and toss.
