  1. I just had to comment! I am so excited! I make this all the time! πŸ™‚ My grandmother passed down the recipe and it’s pretty much the exact same as your recipe. Ya can’t beat a Texas Sheet Cake (we call it a Granny Cake lol) for a get together!

  2. Wow. ..a blast from the past. A good one! This was a favorite of mine 30 years ago, when my sister use to make it. So glad for the recipe.
I remember hers had a touch of cinnamon …which is easy option. Like Mexican chocolate. Either way…one can’t go wrong with chocolate πŸ˜€
    β™‘ thanks

  3. That cake is MASSIVE. I’ve never heard of a Texas Sheet Cake… how do you fit that pan in your oven? Do you have an industrial sized one (in your one-butt-kitchen?!) or is the picture just a little deceptive in terms of the size? Either way… great job! You are going to have one very, very happy crowd! πŸ™‚

  4. That looks Awesome! My Grandfather Karn would have loved it. He liked lots of frosting with a liitle cake. Thanks for liking Two New Recipes. I am going to follow your blog because I liked It. Keep on cooking! Emily
