French Hot Chocolate

  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 1/2 -2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped


In a small saucepan add the milk and honey. Heat until sugar is dissolved and milk is hot. Do not allow to boil. Remove from heat and add the chopped chocolate; whisk until combined.

Papaya Lassi

Papaya Lassi


2 cups ripe papaya, peeled, seeded, and cut into 1″ cubes

1/2 cup plain yogurt or kefir

2 tablespoons lime juice

3 tablespoons orange juice

1 tablespoon honey

pinch of salt

1/8 tsp. cardamom

1 cup ice cubes

Mix papaya, yogurt, lime juice, orange juice, honey, cardamom and salt in blender until smooth.

Add ice to blender and blend until smooth. Lassi should be thick.

Raspberry Lemonade



3/4 cup fresh or frozen raspberries, thawed

9 cups water

2 cups superfine sugar

Puree the raspberries in a food processor and strain through a sieve into pitcher. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until sugar is dissolved.

Eggnog Hot Chocolate

Eggnog Hot Chocolate


12 oz. white Chocolate, chopped

1 1/2 cups eggnog

1 tsp. vanilla

nutmeg to taste.

Rum (optional), to taste

In a saucepan heat the eggnog to just boiling. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped chocolate; whisk until smooth, add vanilla and nutmeg. Add Rum if you wish.

Apple Cranberry Cider

Apple Cranberry Cider


2 quarts apple cider

1 quart cranberry juice

Rind without the white pith of 1 orange

2 inch chunk of peeled fresh ginger

1 bag fresh or frozen cranberries

3 – 2-3 inch cinnamon sticks

1 orange studded with 8 whole cloves

Place all ingredients in a crock pot and simmer until flavors have married.
